Beyond the Cap is Scholar Career Coaching’s workforce development program designed to help alumni and first generation college students gain hands on professional experience while pursuing their college education.
Through career development, employer connections, professional networking, and access to paid micro internship opportunities, Scholars can strengthen their skills, build their resumes, expand their professional networks, and gain real world experience before graduation.
Beyond the Cap is currently open to students who:

Student Application Deadline: September 20, 2026 | Employer Application Deadline September 30th
Selected students will have the opportunity to complete paid, 15 hour micro-internship projects, earning $300 per completed project.
Participants may complete up to three projects during the program. If additional funding or opportunities become available, students may be eligible to complete up to five projects.
All participants are expected to:
‘Career Coaching’ and additional guidance will also be available for students who would like extra support throughout the program. Students can receive assistance with updating or creating a new Resume and LinkedIn profile.

2. Selected Scholars will be invited participate in paid paid micro-internships career opportunities.
3. Apply for paid micro internship opportunities of interest and gain hands on professional experience.
4. Use your experience to strengthen your resume, expand your network, establish relationships, and prepare for future career opportunities.

Partner with Scholar CC as a Career Experience Partner to provide college students with meaningful, project based professional experiences while connecting with emerging talent.
Career Experience Partners can host paid micro internships, share real world projects, and connect with motivated students preparing to enter the workforce. There is no cost to participate, and partners may participate from anywhere in the United States. Projects can be remote or local if in Palm Beach and Broward County.
Partners may also consider Scholars for longer term internships or future employment opportunities.
